T'Pau's brand new single 'World On Fire' is out now to Download/Stream on all platforms & this is what Carol has to say about it :

'Here is our new Single 'World On Fire.' Lyrics are comprised of my musings on various World events that have been ruminating in my head over the last few years.

The music has almost a cowboy feel to it which seems about right as the world seems to be run by cowboys lately so it felt like the right time for you to hear it.'

The song is extremely thought-provoking; it really does make you think about the World we live in today and how it has changed so drastically over the last couple of years.

I agree that the song has a 'cowboy' feel to it & I also sense a 'country' vibe going on & this sound really does suit Carol's so diverse & distinctive vocals.

So many fans have said how much they love this 'new sound.'

The power & the passion in not only the vocals, but the lyrics too goes to show Carol's strong feelings on the subject 

It's one of those songs that once you've heard it once, it will be on on your mind for the rest of the day because it is so catchy and extremely well crafted.

You only have to listen to the chorus to see the emotion in the song.

"You pulled the statue's down, you've got your new pro-nouns, I don't even think it makes you happy. Keep looking right behind 'cause you will be next in line, something new will run you out of Town. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, world on fire."

Such power in those lyrics.

It's a subject so many of us will feel so close to home about as so much of what the song is about has affected us in one way or another.

What goes well with a great song? A music video that can tell its story, and it delivers on so many levels. It's purposely & very cleverly crafted so that each syllable of the song goes hand-in-hand with each frame of the video.

We can all relate to the Events captured in the video as none of it is 'old news.' It's frightening to think that everything in the video has only happened in the last couple of years and their consequences will last a lifetime.

Kudos to Carol's children Scarlett & Dylan, as they created the video!!

It's evocative and enlightening & really does draw you in like you're under some kind of spell.

The video is as much part of the song as the song is to the video.

I don't think I've seen as powerful a video & listened to as powerful a song, with such an important message, since seeing 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)' by John Lennon & Yoko Ono!!

The power & strength in the song builds to a crescendo in the last chorus & hi-lights Carol's heartfelt feelings on the subject.

The song reminds me of 'Only A Heartbeat' from the band's 3rd Album 'The Promise' in the message its giving out.

This song needs to be heard, no doubt about it; it's too strong a message to go unnoticed.

'World On Fire' is available to Download/Stream now, on all platforms, including iTunes, Amazon & Spotify.

Something I have just realised is that the single's release date of 4th November was just 4 days shy of the 35th Anniversary of 'China In Your Hand' reaching number 1, on 8th November 1987!! I am told that this is a coincidence, but all these years later, the fact that Carol Decker & Ronnie Rogers can still produce songs of such a high standard really does speak volumes!!
